The "Rich text editor for calculated fields form" converts the attributes for defining notification emails, the content of the PDF files in the "CFF - PDF Generator" add-on, and the summary in the "CFF - WooCommerce" add-on into rich text editors. Also, it allows applying the same behavior to the text area fields in public forms. The plugin is based on the "Trumbowyg" text editor.

Designing professional notification emails, or custom looking PDF files with tables, different font sizes, bold and italic text, etc. can be difficult for many users if they have to enter HTML tags directly. The "Rich Text Editor for Calculated Field Forms" public converts the editors of the notification emails, PDF generator content and summary in the WooCommerce add-on into "what you see is what you get" editors for easier editing. As an additional feature, the plugin also allows you to enable rich text editor on public forms.

The installation process of the "Rich Text Editor for Calculated Fields Form" plugin is similar to other plugins in WordPress. It requires downloading the zip file with the plugin code to your computer (by visiting the download link provided after purchase), and following the instructions below:

  1. Go to the Plugins section on your WordPress.
  2. Press the "Add New" button at the top of the Plugins section.
  3. Press the "Upload Plugin" button, and then select the zipped file downloaded previously.
  4. Finally, install and activate the plugin.

The plugin creates the menu option "Calculated form fields > Rich Text Editor". The new page allows you to register the copy of the plugin to receive the updates directly in your WordPress. In addition, from this page it is possible to:

  • Enable / disable the rich text editor.
  • Enable / disable the rich text editor in public forms.
  • Delete all plugin data and uninstall it.

To register the plugin, click on the menu option: "Calculated Fields Form> Rich Text Editor", enter the email address used to purchase the plugin and then press the "Register" button. After registering the plugin, you will receive the plugin updates directly in your WordPress.

To use the rich text editor in the public forms, go to the settings page and tick the "Enabling the rich text editor and apply it to the public forms as well" checkboxes.

The plugin enables a new section in the form settings to enable/disable Rich Text Editor on web form textarea controls.

Note: If the Rich Text Editor is enabled on the form, it is possible to exclude a specific Textarea control by entering the class name non-editor in its "Add CSS Layout Keywords" attribute.
