"CleanTalk - Calculated Fields Form" protects the CFF forms by using the CleanTalk Anti-Spam service.
"CleanTalk Anti-Spam" is a cloud-based anti-spam solution designed to detect and block spam in real time. By leveraging a centralized spam database, it secures forms, comments, and user registrations against unwanted submissions.
The "CleanTalk - Calculated Fields Form" WordPress plugin integrates this powerful spam protection with forms created using the Calculated Fields Form plugin. It analyzes submitted form data and, if spam is detected, displays an error message to prevent the submission from proceeding.
The installation process for the "CleanTalk - Calculated Fields Form" WordPress plugin is very similar to that of other plugins. After purchasing the plugin, you'll receive a download link from which you can download the plugin's code as a zip file. Once downloaded, follow these steps:
- Go to the Plugins section on your WordPress.
- Press the "Add New" button at the top of the section.
- Press the "Upload Plugin" button, and then select the zipped file downloaded previously.
- Finally, install and activate the plugin.
After installing the plugin, you'll notice a new menu option called "Calculated Fields Form > CleanTalk" in your WordPress admin dashboard, along with an additional section within your form settings. The dedicated CleanTalk registration page allows you to activate your plugin copy, and enter your CleanTalk API key. Additionally, within each form's settings, you have the option to enable CleanTalk protection, ensuring that every form submission is thoroughly checked against spam.
To register the plugin, go to the menu option: "Calculated Fields Form > CleanTalk", enter the email address you used to purchase the plugin, and then press the "Register" button.
To safeguard your website forms with CleanTalk, begin by generating an API Key from your CleanTalk account. Then, enter this key into the <>i"Anti-Spam is active" field and click the "Save" button.
From the CleanTalk page, it is possible to uninstall the plugin and delete every settings attribute.
The plugin introduces a new section in the forms' settings called "CleanTalk Integration", allowing you to easily enable or disable CleanTalk protection on a per-form basis. Simply tick or untick the checkbox to manage spam protection for that specific form.
